This project consisted of the
demolition of the existing recreation center and replacement with a much larger
new LEED Silver Certified recreation center with rooftop urban farm, full-sized
gymnasium. The renovation was also proposed to include playground spaces, multi-purpose
athletic field, new outdoor athletic courts, fieldhouse, fencing, and
landscaping. Improvements to the existing basketball court, tennis courts and
soccer field were also included.
DMY performed a geotechnical
investigation for the new recreation center, which included global stability
analysis for a retaining wall located at the corner of the gymnasium. Infiltration testing was also performed by
DMY for several planned stormwater management systems.
