This project consists of restoration, rehabilitation, and maintenance of the District’s city-wide local roadways. DMY is the partner of choice under a large business enterprise (Dewberry), to deliver the DDOT’s Local Paving Plan by providing construction management, inspection, and testing expertise. As a CBE, DMY assists in meeting the District’s small business participation goals. DMY performs condition assessments, project scoping, prioritization of assets and repairs, construction estimates, inspection coordination, construction inspection, coordination with internal and external project stakeholders for public outreach and construction coordination, tracking of nonconforming work, measuring of pay quantities, conducting closeout and punch list inspections. DMY prepares daily inspection reports using innovative mobile eConstruction technology tools to document field activities, work performed, quality issues, NCR log, pay quantities, and construction resourcing in accordance with DDOT standard practices.
DMY is performing construction management and inspection services for the following roadway improvements:
- Asphalt and PCC roadway pavement milling and overlay
- Alley and driveway entrance repairs
- Pavement base repairs
- Pavement markings and delineation
- Repair and replacement of curbs, gutters, sidewalks including granite, brick, and Portland cement, and porous flexible pavement (flexi-pave) materials
- Replacement of drainage structures including culverts and catch basins
- Pavement preservation including crack sealing, slurry sealing, pothole repairs, and patching
- Emergency repair work to address safety hazards
